Connecting young adults to caring mentors
as they journey into adulthood.
Project 1.27's New Ground program recruits and supports volunteers to help young adults transitioning out of foster care grow and thrive as they enter the new ground of adulthood.
BECOME A MENTORMentors in the New Ground program are caring adults committed to supporting young adults, ages 18-24, who are transitioning out of foster care. They offer guidance, share life experiences, and provide encouragement. Most importantly, they build genuine friendships and help young adults feel connected to their communities.
