STEP 1 | ATTEND INFO MEETING
Join us at an Info Meeting to learn more about the Colorado foster care system and Project 1.27. All are welcome to attend. Info Meetings fulfill the first two hours of state training, offered from a Christian perspective. Info Meetings are required to become a Project 1.27 family.

Reasonable & Prudent Parenting Standard Web-Based Training - 1.5 Hours
Safe Sleep- 1.5 Hours
CPR/First Aid Certification– 8 Hours

STEP 4 | BACKGROUND CHECKS, HOME STUDY & INSPECTION
Your selected child placement agency or county will complete background checks, a home study (face-to-face interviews), interviews with your children and/or adult children (if applicable) and a home inspection.
STEP 5 | CERTIFICATION BY AGENCY
If your family is approved, the agency or county will certify you to care for children in your home.
STEP 6 | CHILD PLACEMENT IN YOUR HOME
You are now able to receive foster or adoptive children in your home! Your certification agency will contact you with referrals of children needing a loving and well trained Project 1.27 home.
