Support Team Training provides: equipping your team with a realistic view of foster care; discussion around the impact and needs of your family; and practical team suggestions for supporting your family. Visit Family-Support Team for additional information.

REASONABLE & PRUDENT PARENTING - 1.5 HOURS
The Colorado Dept. of Human Services created a web-based training to equip foster parents to make decisions regarding their children’s safety, permanency, and well-being. The task is complicated for caregivers of children and youth in foster care given the number of laws, policies, guidelines, and rules that restrict activities and require potentially time-consuming approval processes.

CPR & FIRST AID
All foster and adoptive parents are required to be certified in CPR and First Aid including skills for infants, children, and adults. Parents should also inform the trainer that they are becoming certified for foster care. Click Here for a list of trainers in the metro area.
