EXCELLENT TRAINING

"Outstanding organization. Excellent training with a solid Christian perspective. They have made a tremendous difference in our adoption experience as our advocates and encouragers."
-A Project 1.27 Family

WHAT MAKES PROJECT 1.27 DIFFERENT?

Today, the urgent need for well-trained, well-equipped foster families in Colorado and across the country provides an opportunity for Christians to offer love, hope and healing to children and parents impacted by generational trauma, substance abuse, broken relationships and isolation.

Project 1.27 offers more than a decade of experience and learning to inspire, recruit and resource churches and families to successfully fulfill James 1:27  by caring for children in foster care, their parents, and the families who  foster and adopt. Using Project 1.27’s unique faith-centered approach that includes trauma-informed, relationship-based parenting strategies and guides families in developing  a strong support network, hundreds of Christian families are changing the outcomes for kids in foster care.

Through the caring attention of Project 1.27’s seasoned Case Managers, families experience an additional layer of support throughout the foster and adoption journey. Project 1.27 also works to engage and resource churches in becoming Foster and Adoption Friendly churches where children and families involved in foster care and adoption can find safe, nurturing Christian community.

Through our work in Colorado, and the 1.27 National Network which supports similar ministries across the country, Project 1.27 continuously strives to achieve our vision of a family waiting for every child!
WHY FOSTER OR ADOPT?
ATTEND AN INFO MEETING
Everyday 10 kids in Colorado are removed from their families. They need families. They need you.

Project 1.27 acts as a bridge between the church community and kids in foster care that need families.  Through the training and support of foster and adoptive parents, families are better prepared and encouraged throughout their journey. Project 1.27 also partners with local churches and agencies in order to recruit more families and smooth the way for parent certification.

Are you ready to be a parent?
