Project 1.27 connects families to community resources, including meals, support groups, Parent’s Night Outs, conferences, and learning opportunities.
SUPPORT
Project 1.27 provides families with a case manager who will walk them through the foster care process, a well-trained support team to help along the way, monthly meals, and hard goods.
TRAINING
Project 1.27 offers State-Certified training for foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers. It also offers opportunities throughout the year for ongoing training hours, including the Hope for the Journey Conference, Advanced Training classes, and Trauma-Informed Training.
COMMUNITY
Project 1.27 has a community of foster and adoptive parents across Colorado and annual events to connect with others, including a teen group, summer picnic, and family Christmas party.

THE PROCESS
Our goal is to make the process of becoming a certified foster parent as clear as possible. From providing Colorado state approved training to helping families navigate paperwork, Project 1.27 Case Managers are available to help the whole way through.

SUPPORT TEAM
Your Support Team is a group of friends and/or family members that are willing to commit to supporting you during your foster or adoptive journey. The support you receive from your Support Team can make the difference between a thriving family and disheartening isolation.
Project 1.27 families are required to bring at least four Support Team Members to Support Team Training before approaching their agency for certification.

A Support Team member commits to:
- Pray for your family.
- Understand the foster care/adoption journey by participating in Support Team Training and utilizing the monthly Support Team Blogs.
- Spend time with family and children.
- Encourage by assisting with practical needs like short-term child care, transportation, meals, house cleaning, yard work, etc.
SUPPORT GROUPS
Having adequate support is essential when fostering or adopting. While there is ongoing Case Manager support available to every Project 1.27 family, we encourage you to find local support groups which provides networking, encouragement and ongoing training. Join one of the listed support groups, or if there’s nothing in your area, contact us to start one

FIND A JAMES 1.27 CHURCH
Christians are called to care for the orphaned, children who need the protection and provision of a family. In our own neighborhoods, there are kids in foster care who need us to provide safety and stability in the midst of a family crisis.
