You Matter Too: A One Hour Lunch & Learn on DBT and Radical Acceptance
Caring for children impacted by trauma and loss requires deep compassion, patience, and strength. It is easy to pour so much into others that we lose sight of ourselves. You Matter Too is a Lunch & Learn Series designed to bring the focus back to you and your well-being . The Sessions are easy to jump into at any time, and you don't have to attend them all. This space is designed to support and re-center you in order to care for others, you have to remember: You Matter Too.
This Session introduces practical tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), including mindfulness and distress tolerance, with an emphasis on the powerful concept of radical acceptance. Together, we will explore how to accept difficult realities, circumstances, and challenges without giving up hope or the ability to find peace and joy.

Join us for an engaging and informative training featuring an expert panel of professionals from the child welfare court and legal system. This interactive discussion will explore both the roles of legal stakeholders and the vital role caregivers play throughout the process.
Panelists will include County Attorneys, Guardians ad Litem (GALs), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), parent attorneys, and experienced caregivers who bring real-world insight into navigating the system. Participants will have the unique opportunity to hear directly from these professionals, gain a deeper understanding of how decisions are made, and learn how to effectively advocate for the children in their care.
Ample time will be provided for questions, allowing attendees to share their concerns, ask for clarification, and engage in meaningful dialogue with the panel. This is a valuable opportunity to build knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and have your voice heard.
