ADVANCED TRAINING CLASSES
Join us on Tuesday, December 9th, from 6-8 pm for an online Advanced Training:
Hidden Hurts: Exploring Child and Caregiver Grief in Foster and Adoptive Homes
The Holidays can magnify the grief that is often felt by children and caregivers in Foster/Adopt and Kinship Homes. This 2 hour Virtual Training helps to identify what grief is, and how to understand and respond to children who may have mixed or complex feelings during this Season. This heartfelt training helps parents recognize and respond to hidden grief, understand emotional triggers, and find practical ways to bring comfort, connection, and healing for the whole family.
Dr. Lisa Marr is the Family Connections Manager for Project 1.27. Before joining the team, she was a licensed psychologist and a social worker with Child Protective Services. She has a specialized focus on emotional regulation, trauma-informed care, and caregiver support. With years of clinical experience and a passion for equipping others, she offers evidence-based strategies rooted in neuroscience to help caregivers navigate complex emotional dynamics with confidence and compassion.
