MEET THE CANADY'S

After finalizing their adoption November 2017, the Canadys shared that they are in absolute awe of their newest addition and his amazingly positive transformation . They know only God could complete such a miracle.
Making the decision to adopt is not one that should be entered into lightly. Though my wife and I always felt deeply the desire to adopt, we also knew we needed confirmation from God. Upon praying, God did not waste any time at all in confirming that He had placed this desire in our hearts.
In starting out this journey we were initially daunted by the process itself- should we consider a private adoption vs. foster system? How would we pay for either? Will we need an attorney? How will bringing another child into the home impact us and our current child? All these thoughts kept running through our minds, but none deterred us from moving forward in our decision. My wife and I relied heavily upon God’s provision, guidance and grace throughout this journey.
From the moment we connected with Project 127, our minds were at ease and we actually looked forward to our adoption journey. Project 127 not only provided the necessary training we needed, but they also provided much needed interpersonal support. My wife and I truly believe we would not have been as equipped to care for our son who experienced some social/emotional delays had it not been for the trainings. We cannot stress enough the importance of attending the P127 trainings and connecting with your assigned Caseworker. We would encourage anyone to give to Project 127, as doing so will change the lives of everyone involved.
